Finding a job is getting tougher, and more frustrating.
Posting “open to work” in LinkedIn, then submitting your CV isn’t the solution, especially when you’re competing with hundreds of others for the same role. AI is adding to the complexity on both sides.
But there is a way to enlist artificial intelligence to give jobseekers a competitive edge.
Seekario was founded last year by Mohammad Haqqani, and Tooba Jalalidil to help people navigate the jobs market with confidence and efficiency at an affordable cost.
It’s an AI-powered job application management system with tools to streamline every step of the job search process, from resume tailoring and personalised cover letters, networking insights and interview preparation.
They’ve developed a wide range of features for the platform using AI, including an application tracker, resume builder, role assessor to address Key Selection Criteria(KSC) responses and yes, even a LinkedIn profile builder to help you to stand out.
Users can even create personalised interview materials or explore what a perfect candidate for the job might look like using the Sample Resume feature.
Mohammad has PhD in computer science and an MSc in AI, with more than 15 years in the space. His cofounder Tooba also has an MSc in data science alongside more than a decade of experience in AI and data engineering. She recently joined Accenture as an AI LLM architect manager.
The duo were lecturers and teaching assistants at Monash University when they witness the challenges graduates face when job searching.
The data itself tells the story: 40% of job seekers reported applying to more jobs than ever but receiving fewer responses, while the applicants average jumped last year to 140 applications for graduate-level roles, 188 in financial services and 205 applicants the digital and IT sectors.
The average number of applicants per job increased significantly in 2024 with Institute of Student Employers (ISE) reported a record high in competition for jobs, with an average of Inompetition was even more intense, with per role, while financial services saw 188 applicants per position.
Tooba said that adding to the difficulties for potential employees is the expectation of highly customised resumes and personalised cover letters to stand out.
“We launched Seekario in April 2024 and have proudly supported thousands of job seekers since then,” she said.
“Our platform is an all-in-one solution, offering a comprehensive toolset designed to provide everything a job seeker needs to land their dream job. We help them save time, money, and energy. This enables them to focus on other crucial aspects of the job search, such as networking, ultimately increasing their chances of landing their dream roles.”

Seekario can analyse the job skills and likely salary
Seekario’s AI Resume Builder can create a resume from scratch if you don’t already have one, or you upload your resume, share a link to a job you’re interested in, and they’ll create a tailored job application for you.
“We analyse the job description and role, providing additional insights such as expected salary and key job description keywords to help them better understand the position,” Tooba said.
It also helps improve your chances of passing through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), the software employers use to screen resumes.
She remembers the moment an early user sent an email last year saying: “I just wanted to say that you are doing great work with Seekario. I spend considerable time each day keeping up to date with new and emerging AI technologies, and have literally tried every resume and cover letter system known, to find that Seekario is, by far, the best out there!”
It was simple but incredibly meaningful, Tooba recalls.
“Knowing that someone had taken the time to share this kind of feedback gave us a real sense of purpose,” she said.
“It showed us that we were creating something valuable, and it’s stuck with me ever since.”
Mohammad said their focus is on scaling Seekario and introducing it to even more job seekers, and while they’re not looking to raise, they’re open to the right offer.
“We’re committed to delivering an unmatched combination of high-quality features in one place, continuously improving our offerings to meet the evolving needs of candidates,” he said.
“Our mission is to make expert career advice and optimised job search strategies accessible to everyone, leveraging the power of advanced AI. As the job market continues to change, we’re staying agile and adapting our solutions to empower job seekers to thrive, adapt, and secure their future careers.”
Mohammad said their biggest opportunity is actually the thing that many believe is the biggest threat to the jobs market: the rapid rise of AI.
“The recent advancements in AI have unlocked incredible potential to deliver expert-level guidance to job seekers faster, more efficiently, and at a fraction of the traditional cost. These technologies enable us to bridge gaps that were previously out of reach for many, making high-quality career services accessible to all,” he said.
“Our ability to quickly evolve with these changes positions us to not only stay ahead of the curve but also provide solutions that align with the future of recruitment. This adaptability is a key differentiator that sets us apart from the competition and ensures we remain a trusted partner for job seekers navigating this new era.”
