The annual Smart50 awards for fast-growing Australian businesses are back for 2025 with entries now open and even more award categories up for grabs.
You have until September 12 to enter the Smart50 Awards, with this year’s program culminating in a special dinner event in Melbourne on November 13.
The Smart50 awards, now in their 16th year, are presented by Startup Daily’s sister publication, SmartCompany, and rank independent small- and medium-businesses based on three-year revenue growth, with category awards in areas such as retail, marketing, innovation, community and sustainability.
SmartCompany editor Eloise Keating said this year’s winners will join an illustrious alumni group that includes the likes of Atlassian, Pay.com.au, July, Showpo, Adore Beauty, Prospa and many, many more.
“The Smart50 Awards have long been the highlight of our calendar; the awards give us the opportunity to recognise the incredibly hard-working SME community that powers the Australian economy,” said Keating.
“I urge all SMEs to consider nominating themselves for this year’s awards.”
Entries are now open for the 2025 awards program, which includes the ranked Smart50 list of the nation’s fastest growing SMEs, and 13 category awards, including the all-new Founder of the Year award.
Other categories include the Retailer of the Year Award, the Innovator Award, and the Rising Star Award for companies younger than three years.
The 2025 Smart50 Awards are once again supported by major sponsor Optus, along with supporting partners Lightspeed, Findex and the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman.
