Sharyn Smith

Sharyn Smith is a dedicated advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship with over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. As Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary at (CBRIN), she plays a key role in supporting entrepreneurs and building a culture of innovation. Sharyn was instrumental in developing the ACT Government’s Innovation Connect (ICON) grant program, which has supported over 200 companies and projects.
Sharyn actively promotes diversity and empowerment, driving initiatives such as the Female Founders program and implementing the 50/50 gender pledge at CBRIN. Her experience spans mentoring startups to high-growth companies, and she has represented Canberra’s entrepreneurial community on international delegations to New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.
