When bushfires scorched Australia last summer, one way people found solace was through the Melbourne wellness brand Sensori+ and its air detoxifying mists and candles.
For co-founder Marc Wang, it was validation that eight years of product development for the brand’s environmentally friendly products, locally-made from natural ingredients. That initial growth in sales continued through 2020 as people spent more time at home and shopped on Amazon Australia for Sensori+ products
The mists and candles use patented ChlorosPURE technology, an all-natural plant extract that eradicates air toxins and neutralises malodours to improve air quality without the ‘scent-masking’ used by most home fragrances. Inspired by Australian nature, the scents have names such as ‘Toowoomba Carnival’, ‘Macedon Trail’ and ‘Wiruna Night’.
The pure soy wax candles are made from responsibly sourced Australian soybean farms and use plant-based essential oil fragrances such as Rose Absolute, Lavender and Sweet Orange.
The brand has also expanded into skincare and bath products ranging from detoxifying and rejuvenating body polish to shower oils, mask and hand sanitisers and a detoxifying and rejuvenating skincare ritual.
Marc and his co-founders, Ali Shoraka and Ben Xu consider Amazon Australia as their flagship retailer, helping to expand not just nationally buy also globally, taking the scents of Australia to the world. Amazon has played a key role in the startup’s growth strategy.
