Townsville will become the latest Australian city to get an Internet of Things network, with the Townsville City Council partnering with Campbell Scientific Australia to launch the initiative.
With a view to positioning Townsville as a gateway to northern Australia and Asia, the Australian Government, Queensland Government and Townsville City Council have signed the first City Deal to grow Townsville’s economy and transform its city centre.
Townsville startup SafetyCulture has today announced a $30 million Series B round led by international venture capital firm Index Ventures. The investment comes as the second largest funding round secured by an Australian tech startup this year, following a $41 million raise by BigCommerce in June.
