Living up to its rep as Coachella for Aussie startups, Blackbird’s annual two-day Sunrise Australia startup fest marked its 10th anniversary on April 30 and May 1, 2025.
Held at the iconic Carriageworks in Sydney, the event brimmed with creativity, ambition and innovation. Highlights included keynote speakers, Eucalyptus co-founder Tim Doyle (read more about his company’s “dildo mountain” issue he spoke about here), Tesla chair Robyn Denholm, Attica restaurateur Ben Shewry and SEEK co-founder Paul Bassat.
But most of all, it was a big, friendly, buzzing catchup sesh with everyone in the Australian startup ecosystem.
