Airwallex has signed its latest partnership with a global sports brand.

Aussie‑founded fintech heavyweight Airwallex has inked a multi‑year agreement to become a major sponsor of English Premier League club Arsenal.

Airwallex will be Arsenal’s Official Finance Software Partner, expanding the $9.6 billion‑valued unicorn’s push into elite sport and giving the Gunners a new backbone for cross‑border payments on and off the pitch.

The partnership will see Airwallex branding rolled out across Emirates Stadium, on Arsenal’s digital channels, and during the men’s pre‑season tour of Singapore and Hong Kong later this month.

Arsenal said the technology integration will streamline its treasury functions and supporter payment experiences, while Airwallex gains global visibility with one of football’s most‑watched teams.

Jack Zhang, Co-Founder and CEO of Airwallex, described partnering with Arsenal as “a proud moment” for his company.

“We are building the future of global banking, and that means working with brands and businesses that are committed to global reach, excellence and innovation – all attributes that are deeply embedded at Arsenal,” Zhang said.

“Whether it’s helping the club save time and money in their day-to-day financial operations, or creating a smoother payments experience for supporters enjoying the football experience, we believe this collaboration will create real value for football, for businesses, and for aspirational people all around the world.”

Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal FC, welcomed Airwallex to the “global family of Gooners”.

“We look forward to working together over the coming years to drive efficiencies across our commercial operations,” he said.

“Our partners are an important part of the Arsenal family, fuelling our growth and supporting the investment that will bring us sustained success.”

The tie‑up follows Airwallex’s alliance with McLaren Racing, which is in the lead in the F1 Constructor’s Championship for 2025.

Arsenal has subbed out out Turkish broker Global Kapital Group, its finance partner since 2019, for the APAC Airwallex.
