Content marketing agency Cuttable has banked another $4.5 million for its Seed round, 12 months after pocketing $5.5 million, to take the total raise to $10 million.

The Melbourne startup, which counts A Cloud Guru cofounder Sam Kroonenburg as investor and now cofounder and CEO, is reportedly valued at $44.5 million following the top up.

The cash botox was led by existing investor Square Peg, with Rampersand going again plus Brand Fund, innovation studio Previously Unavailable’s VC fund joining the cap table.

They plan to spend it on global expansion, AI and advertising development and the rapid onboarding of ecommerce brands in Australia and the US.

Cuttable was initially founded by Jack White, cofounder of Melbourne ad agency Sunday Gravy and former Swisse marketer Ed Ring.

The platform online launched its AI creative agency last month after a year-long build, delivering an automated platform that generates 100s of on-brand, performance-ready ads in minutes

The client list already includes Frank Body, Bare Leather, St. Ali Coffee, and Bondi Active, as well as fellow startup Elita.

“We’ve been in deep build-mode for the past 12 months, now we are launching Cuttable to help growing brands make ads that drive sales through Facebook and Instagram,” Kroonenberg said.

“It’s a powerful growth lever for businesses. However, those building online brands have had to spend too long doing it themselves, we’re changing that.”

The business recently hired former Meta head of marketing science Helen Crossley as an adviser to build its platform on Zuckerberg’s social media behemoth, with former Ogilvy ad agency exec Paul Arena signing on as head of strategy.

Jack White said Cuttable is the best advertising solution for growing ecommerce and medium-sized brands.

“These are the brands that make the world more interesting – solving problems, experimenting on Shopify, and pushing creativity forward,” he said.

His cofounder, Kroonenburg, said it’s about helping founders already doing everything: “Packing orders, managing customer support, building ads at 1am. What they really need is time, clarity, and quality. That’s what we give them.”
