Former JP Morgan banker Ashleigh Greaves has joined boutique Queensland B2B VC Tribe Global Ventures to manage investor relations.

Greaves already has a strong track record on that front having spent several years within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) at J.P. Morgan in New York where she managed relationships with hedge funds and quantitative trading managers.

She’s also a summa cum laude graduate of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, the haunt of outspoken startup founder and investor Professor Scott Galloway, cohost of the Pivot podcast with tech journalist Kara Swisher

Tribe invests in Australian and New Zealand tech startups from Seed to Series A, then helps them scale to the UK & USA, also running two trade missions annually, taking B2B founders and investors to the UK and US.

Greaves will support investors in Tribe’s syndicate and help to curate its investor community, investor events and experiences.

Cofounder Aaron Birkby said Tribe recently adding several new venture partners to its global team, including Viki Forrest in San Francisco and Elizabeth Varley in London, who are supporting the portfolio as they scale into the UK and USA, as well as Craig Hobart as distribution director.

“We are delighted to welcome Ashleigh to the team. Her extensive experience in investor relations and her background at J.P. Morgan will bring immense value to our growing syndicate,” he said,

“As we continue to expand our investor syndicate and work towards the launch of our new captive fund, Ash’s expertise will be crucial in strengthening our investor community and enhancing the experiences we offer to our investors.”

Greaves said she was exited about her new role in VC.

“Tribe’s commitment to not only investing capital but actively supporting founders as they scale resonates with my passion for helping businesses grow and fostering meaningful relationships,” she said.

“I look forward to working with the team to build our investor community and contribute to the continued success and expansion of the founders and companies we back.”
